I know what you are thinking...

JULY 21 ?Many are shell-shocked by the death of Teoh Beng Hock. I do not want to repeat many of the things that are said about his death other than the fact that it was a needless death. Someone must be held responsible and be accountable.

Which brings me to what a lot of people are thinking ?if the government is genuinely interested in good governance, a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) is the only option. I say this not because I think RCI is the easy option- infact RCI should be use only in extreme cases and the last option.

In this case, it is clear that the most influential segment of the Malaysian public do not trust the security agencies in this country anymore. There is no trust that these agencies are capable of conducting an independent probe into what happened. There is even less trust that there are good people in these organisations to conduct an impartial investigation.
